NEW! Each week, we will be playing a featured map of my choosing/your suggestion. We will play this starting at 8:10 (or when the server fills), and I will link a download to the map here. This week, we are playing...

cp_blackmesa_final

THERE IS BOTH ALLTALK AND TEAMTALK ON THE SERVER! To use alltalk, run the following 3 commands in console (replacing whatever key you want to bind to in the 3rd command)
Code: Select all
alias +alltalk "voiceall; +voicerecord"
alias -alltalk "-voicerecord; voiceall"
bind v +alltalk //change the key to whatever you want here

Also, if you wish to micspam, run the following command before starting you spam and after ending it:
Code: Select all
voiceall

This switches you back and forth between alltalk mode and teamspeak mode.

Are there even enough TF2 players on either team to get a 6v6 going?

This could be fun... =D

EDIT: I should warn everyone however, that TF2 crashes at the drop of a hat for me. Any map change has about a 75% chance of crashing my game. And there is, of course, the possibility that it might crash in the middle of a match. >_>

WOOHOO WE HAVE 12! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Now we need to agree on a time. I believe that at the previous meeting, everyone I spoke to said that Saturdays at 8pm would be good; let's try that for now and see how it works.

THERE WILL BE A GAME THIS SATURDAY AT 8PM. I do NOT expect everyone to come for it. My plan is to have this be a test of my server, to make sure it can handle 12 people all at once, as well as make sure that all the addons I have are working properly. Speaking of...

I have installed an addon that (supposedly) allows for BOTH teamspeak AND alltalk at the SAME TIME! Your normal key is for teamtalk, and then you bind a secondary key for alltalk! I would like to test this out and make sure it works for the real deal, thus the test run this Saturday.

UPDATE: The bind for this is as follows:
Code: Select all
alias +alltalk "voiceall; +voicerecord"
alias -alltalk "-voicerecord; voiceall"
bind v +alltalk //change the key to whatever you want here

Either run these 3 lines in the developer console before joining the server, or add them to tf/cfg/autoexec.cfg before starting the game. Enjoy!

PLEASE post in response to this containing your steamid letting me know you read it; if I don't hear anything from you by Friday night, I WILL HUNT YOU DOWN WITH MY ADMIN POWERS.

I edited your post so that it is the correct SteamID; there are a lot of people with the ID YellowKing. The one listed is correct and will add you properly.

EDIT: OSHI- It worked earlier! Here's your Steam profile page (right?): http://steamcommunity.com/id/yellowkinghstr

dansul87

I'm at home right now and thus not using my computer (missing my mouse :( ). I will suck more than usual (as if that's possible).

That's the right profile for Merkle.

Erm, can anybody find him? I tried adding this ID twice, and got nothing. Searched for it, nothing. Did I spell it wrong?

Just a very silly question...

am I supposed to be on the lookout for specific friend/group invites or something?

Otherwise...

Tonight? 8PM? AWESOME. Shouldn't be any problem on my end (up until I hit the Windows key... again.)
